After doing some research, these homeowners became concerned about their crawl space that was left completely unprotected against moisture and the outdoor elements. To teach them more about the potential concerns and preventive measures, we sent out one of our skilled design specialist, Corey, to take a look at their crawl space. To really protect the underside of the home and the floors above, Corey crafted up a plan for our encapsulation system, a complete sealing and conditioning of the crawl space. This includes a durable vapor barrier, a crawl space dehumidifier, and a sump pump system. Each component plays a part in tackling moisture and humidity, making sure they cannot cause any issues. The homeowners loved the idea, decided to move forward, and shortly after we had one of our talented crews out to install the work. Take a look at the difference in the provided photos. Great job to each of our team members who contributed!
This muddy and humid crawlspace was once completely exposed to the elements, causing all kinds of risk to moisture damage to this home. Now, the space is sealed and protected by our Cleanspace Liner, our sump pump system, and a crawlspace dehumidifier, meaning moisture, water seepage, or humidity has no chance at damaging this home now. Catch a look at all of these products at work in the provided images!
We come across soaked and falling insulation all the time in crawl spaces that are dealing with moisture issues. Originally meant to help benefit the floors, this insulation was now holding water and actually speeding up the damage done to the floors. In our process of encapsulating the crawl space, we went ahead and removed all of this old insulation. Moving forward, it'll actually no longer be needed, as the sealed off, encapsulated space acts as its own form of insulation! It is extremely beneficial, but also just looks much nicer. Check out the difference in the provided pictures.
This crawlspace in Denham Springs was holding water pockets, keeping all the wooden joists and posts wet. Some were rotting from the excess moisture. Henry Bennett performed our free inspection and set up a custom system for their home. Cody and his team installed the final product and they now have a happy, healthy crawlspace!
This home was rebuilt in 2007 with an open crawlspace. They gave us a call because they were having issues with their floors buckling due to moisture in the crawlspace. Melissa Johnson performed the inspection and recommended that they have the crawlspace bricked in, to seal it off from the outside air AND install an encapsulation. Our encapsulation system keeps the crawlspace dry and helps prevent floors from buckling in the future, and can even help already buckling floors settle down.
