Mid-renovation, these Ruston homeowners realized the moisture and mold in their crawl space would have to be resolved before they could continue. Our team was able to treat the mold and waterproof the crawl space with our CleanSpace Liner and Drainage Matting, and our SumpPump system to maintain the freshly dried air.
These are two images featuring a home in Carriere, Mississippi, that one of our crews installed a crawlspace encapsulation for. The most striking feature of an encapsulation is our Cleanspace Liner, which may appear similar to the everyday vapor barrier, but quality-wise, they can't be compared. These images should help you understand what you get with a standard vapor barrier installation, and a Cleanspace installation. The vapor barrier is not covering the entire crawlspace and can be easily pulled/torn away. The replacement, our Cleanspace Liner, covers not only the entire ground, but is installed up the supports as well, making sure moisture is blocked from all angles. It gives a cleaner look as well, anyone can feel safe crawling in this space now!
The damp and messy crawlspace that once caused these homeowners fear of buckling floors, has now been transformed with out encapsulation system, eliminating all reason for worry.
Many people look to standard vapor barriers as a cheap and quick fix to the moisture problems under their homes. Time and time again, we've had homeowners reach out to us to help them with moisture issues, even though they already own and have paid for a vapor barrier. They're thin, they move and leave ground exposed, and we've even seen plenty of them completely degraded. The permanent solution you expect from a standard vapor barrier, can actually be found in our CleanSpace Liner. This liner is much thicker, much more durable, and works perfectly with our crawl space dehumidifiers and sump pumps to create a completely moisture-proofed environment. You'll see that the CleanSpace Liner in these photos is spread tightly against the ground, AND up the crawl space walls and supports. This liner won't be moving, and it certainly won't let any ground water seepage past it.
This large crawlspace in Diamondhead was having water seepage and moisture problems. Henry Bennett designed a custom proposal and system to meet their needs and our crew got it installed. It's complete with a sump pump, dehumidifier, waterproof vapor barrier, and wall liner to keep the crawlspace dry.
