This image showcases what we were able to do for this concerned homeowner in Raymond, MS. Constantly dealing with the effects of crawl space moisture, he reached out to us hoping to find a solution. When our design specialist, Scottie, first went out to take a look at the underside of the home, he discovered that there was an attempt to handle this moisture with an old, standard vapor barrier, but clearly it wasn't enough. After designing a plan for encapsulating the home and discussing it with the homeowners, they were ready to move forward and have our team come in to put it together. Our CleanSpace Liner was secured onto the floors and walls of the crawl space, our crawl space dehumidifier was put in to keep humidity regulated, and our sump pump system was strategically placed to take in water from all sources. All of these can be seen in the image! We're very proud of the work everyone in our company contributed, and happy to know this home is more secure than ever.
Crawl Spaces aren't exactly known for being clean, but this one had become a bit messier than most we come across. The homeowner reached out to us hoping we could find a solution for their swelling floors, assuming that moisture must be building up in the crawl space somewhere. A vapor barrier has been installed under the home at one point in an attempt to prevent this, but we found that it has been almost completely pulled up, still leaving the soil exposed. A mix of ground water seepage and falling insulation holding onto this moisture was definitely playing a large part in harming these floors. Since our first look, we have taken care of all of the harmful mess and transformed the space into a much cleaner, drier environment. The ground is once again covered with our durable CleanSpace Liner, along with the walls and supports as well. The now sealed and dehumidified underside of the home no longer needs the insulation, and removing that and the moisture it was filled with, will help these floors greatly. It looks great, and does its job even better!
