Services we offer in Hinds County:
This Clinton Mississippi resident reached out to us via Facebook because they saw our post about treating and preventing crawlspace moisture. As you can see from the pictures their floors were buckling substantially, causing a real risk to their family. Not only would they be easy to trip over, but that much moisture in the crawlspace causes the home’s air to be tainted and can flare up allergies and asthma. Healthy moisture readings for wood can range anywhere from 1-15%. Once they hit 16% and above mold can begin to grow and spread. This Mississippi home’s joists were reading anywhere from 24%, all the way up to 43.5%!
Our crew came in and completely cleaned the crawlspace, sealed off any open vents, installed a sump pump and dehumidifier, and spread our waterproof CleanSpace liner over the entirety of the crawlspace. This not only protects the crawlspace, but without all the moisture traveling up into the home, the floors will get a chance to settle and flatten and the air quality will improve drastically. Having a vapor barrier in the crawlspace also helps lower utility bills.
Calling with regards to floors sinking, Brett performed a crawlspace inspection. He found moisture to be the main cause and recommended sealing off the crawlspace and installing an encapsulation system. Once the crawlspace holds moisture, the sub-floor absorbs it. This leads to sagging and eventual rot.
By sealing off the crawlspace and waterproofing it, we are able to prevent water intrusion and pump the ground water out before it becomes a problem. We also install a SaniDry Dehumidifier that will help regulate the humidity in the crawlspace.
Moisture in the crawl space was creating musty smells and leading to some soft floors in this gorgeous Jackson home. They had plastic sheeting down as a moisture barrier, but it clearly wasn't working. It was trapping in moisture from the outside air and causing it to build up. The ground was continually wet and this was leading to the ongoing musty smells. When the crawl space isn't sealed off, moisture is always going to enter inside and get trapped. We treat the inside of the crawl space like the inside of the home, sealed off and regulated. To start, we would seal off all vent and cracks. Then, we would lay down our 20 mil liner over the ground and up the walls. This creates a waterproof barrier that doesn't allow air to move from the outside, in. Then we install a sump pump in the ground that collects the seeping ground water. It will automatically pump itself out and away from the home. Finally, we finish the crawl space with a dehumidifier to manage the air and keep it dry. Our system working in tandem is proven to remediate all moisture issues, and help homes get rid of the musty smells that they were dealing with.
This customer was searching for a solution to the hazardous settling areas of their concrete pool deck. They could deal with the stress of trying to replace the entire pool deck, but fortunately, we offer a much faster and affordable solution. We proudly offer PolyLevel, a high-density expanding foam that can be injected under concrete driveways, sidewalks, patios, and even this customer's pool deck. This will fill the empty voids under the concrete and strengthen the surrounding back-filled loose soil, leaving them with a level and much more secure pool deck than ever before. After a quick installation and a very short amount of cure time, this family will be able to safely use their pool deck again in no time.
Plastic sheeting was covering this dirt crawlspace and holding water and musty smells captive. Water had nowhere to drain and was staying trapped under the home. Corey Becker inspected the crawlspace and designed a custom version of our moisture control system. Installing a sump pump would give the water a place to drain and our encapsulation system would keep it from coming back in. Finishing off with a dehumidifier to maintain the humidity would complete this crawlspace and make sure the home stays healthy and dry.
Like many of the customers we've met who were unfamiliar with the encapsulation system, this homeowner called us experiencing some issues with uneven and buckling floors. This is one of the most common side-effects of crawlspace moisture problems that we see. When moisture from the ground or humid outside air penetrates through the subfloor, it will cause your floors to swell and leaves you with those uneven floors. Replacing your floors will just eventually lead you to the same outcome, as some of our customers have learned the hard way. The best way to prevent and take care of this problem is to take care of the moisture itself! By using a heavy-duty CleanSpace plastic liner, a reliable sump pump system, and a dehumidifier designed specifically for the crawlspace, we can eliminate this homeowner's excessive moisture problem and make sure they no longer have to deal with buckling floors. If you are seeing similar problems or any other signs of a crawlspace moisture issue, feel free to fill out one of our forms online or give us a call to set up a free estimate.
This homeowner knew they needed a vapor barrier installed under their home. It was holding moisture and building up in the crawlspace. We offer permanent moisture control options that exceed the normal standard of just laying plastic. We seal off the crawlspace and install products that keep the crawlspace clean and dry.
This customer's pool deck was in desperate need of some repair. He didn't want to take the costly route of replacing the concrete, and that shouldn't have to be the only option. Fortunately, we offer another choice! PolyLevel is a high-density expanding foam that can be injected under concrete driveways, sidewalks, patios, and pool decks as well. This will fill up the voids that have caused his deck to sink, leaving it secure and level. The next step is to seal up the cracks that allow water to wash out the soil in the first place. NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant that remains unaffected by UV rays and harsh weather conditions. It can patch up unsightly cracks and prevent more water from getting under the deck. Both products have a quick install time and will ensure his pool deck is ready to be used for years.
Crawlspace moisture can be a bigger deal than most people would imagine. Neglecting the unseen part of your home can bring about some nasty issues. This includes mold, rot, unpleasant smells, and in this customer's case, warping floors. They wanted to figure out why their floors were buckling, and as we suspected, the source led to moisture in the crawlspace. Fortunately, we have multiple products made to combat this. Our heavy-duty CleanSpace liner prevents moisture seepage, while our perimeter drainage system handles any water intrusion. Our crawlspace dehumidifier also takes care of humid crawlspace air. All together, this makes up our crawlspace encapsulation system, which is sure to leave you with a clean and protected underside of your home.
This homeowner had began noticing some sinking in their driveway. Upon further inspection, they realized they could even see the void that was forming under the driveway. Water seepage was washing way the soil underneath, and unless taken care of, this concrete surface is at risk of a lot of damage. Our solution, PolyLevel, will prevent this and save them the time and money that would eventually go into having their driveway replaced. We used PolyFoam, an expanding polyurethane foam, to fill up the void and level the driveway back up. Tiny holes are drilled into the concrete so PolyFoam can be pumped in. The cure time is quick, allowing for regular use soon after installation. In order to prevent further water seepage and erosion, the cracks and joints of the driveway were sealed by NexusPro, our flexible silicone-based sealant. With these products combined, this homeowner was left happily with a safe and level driveway.
Summer heat and humidity can be a risk to anyone's crawlspace, and it was especially affecting this homeowner. The underside of his home was damp, his subfloor was soaked, and they were beginning to experience an unpleasant mildew smell. A crawlspace should not be left in this condition, as waiting too long to find a solution will put the home at risk of mold, rot, and further damage. In order to protect this home from the hot summers to come, we installed our crawlspace encapsulation system. This includes one of our crawlspace dehumidifiers, which will be taking care of that high humidity. It is designed to be energy efficient while doing its job of conditioning the surrounding air. This also includes our heavy-duty CleanSpace liner and a perimeter drainage system. The liner protects against water seepage throughout the entire crawlspace, while our drainage and sump pump system will direct and water seepage out and away from the crawlspace. With the complete system under this home, the coming summers should offer no problems for this encapsulated crawlspace.
This customer reached out to us requesting that we come and replace his sinking concrete driveway. We do not replace concrete, but we were able to offer him a solution that made more sense: PolyLevel. There was no need to spend an abundance of money on replacing the whole driveway, it still had the option of being saved. Our system PolyLevel, involves drilling tiny holes into the concrete and pumping in an expanding polyurethane foam. The expansion will fill up the voids causing the concrete to sink, and help strengthen the surrounding soil. The result, is a level concrete surface. The customer was originally hesitant, since he had never heard of the product, but he was very happy that this was the solution he went with.
This customer had unfortunately been caused a lot of stress by his own home. Crawlspace moisture, rotting joists, buckling floors, and much more has been affecting him for years. Aware that the moisture and humidity in his crawlspace was a major source of these issues, he tried to combat it with a regular 6 mil vapor barrier, ultimately not making any sort of difference. One day while driving, he happened to pass by one of our trucks on the way to another job. After searching up our company and giving us a call, our customer care team was able to set him up an appointment for a free estimate. One of our design specialists was sent out to examine his home and thoroughly walk through the details of our encapsulation system. Happy with what we had heard, he decided to trust us to take care of his home. Nearly a year later, our crew's work is still under his home and taking care of the moisture/humidity. We are very happy he decided to give us a call, and honored that we could provide our services for his home.
This homeowner knew they had some possible foundation issues, but due to only seeing small signs, they had decided to let it slide. Some time later, things had gotten much scarier. The northeast corner of the home was beginning to sink and slope badly, and it seemed like it was trying to take one of the rooms with it. Separation in the foundation had began, and they decided to reach out to us to see if we had a solution that could save this. Using out heavy-duty push piers, we will be able to offer the home a much stronger support. These piers are attached to the footer of the home and drilled deep into the ground, allowing the weight of the home to be transferred to tougher, more compact soils. The result for this homeowner and many others that we have served, is a stabilized and safe foundation. One that will not continue to sink and cause damages!
The white liner and the metal jacks you see under this home are the solution to a long-lasting problem this homeowner has dealt with. Living on a slope unfortunately allowed water to regularly run down and find its way into his crawlspace. This damp and humid space came with a fair share of moisture damage, and multiple times, the affected floors needed work. Now, a PERMANENT solution is in place under his home. The Cleanspace Liner is part of our encapsulation system. Sealing the crawlspace, covering it in a durable liner, adding a dehumidifier, and installing a sump pump system means moisture stands almost no chance at having any further affect on this home. Our SmartJacks were also installed, safely securing the floors in place and taking take of the unlevel spots. We're glad we could finally rid this homeowner of this problem.
This homeowner already knew about the dangers of water damage, and she wanted the peace of mind of knowing her home was protected. We are very glad and honored that we were able to provide that for her! The crawlspace under the home is now sealed off and completely lined with our durable Cleanspace Liner. Cutting off the exposure to the damp, dirt floor will help make sure her floors are safe and dry. On top of that, is one of our crawlspace dehumidifiers. This dehumidifier will constantly keep the humidity at a percentage that does not allow mold to thrive and cause any harmful risks. Moisture won't stand a chance!
Recently, a homeowner in Edwards, MS, found themselves facing a significant challenge with their home's stability, traced back to the problematic support posts positioned on a sloping part of their land. Concerned about the safety and integrity of their home, they reached out to us at Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions, hoping for a reliable fix to their unnerving predicament. After contacting our customer care team, an appointment was scheduled with one of our System Design Specialists who conducted a thorough inspection of the property. Understanding their concerns, we recommended a trio of solutions: SmartJack for reinforcing the structural stability, SaniDry Sedona to tackle any humidity and moisture issues in the crawlspace, and CleanSpace encapsulation to seal and protect the area from further deterioration. These products were tailor-made for their specific situation, aiming to both resolve the immediate issues at hand and prevent future problems. Our production team then took the reins, where our experienced foreman led the installers in a carefully planned operation. This might be one of our most impressive concrete jobs we've performed. This driveway had dropped an insane amount, but the PolyLevel system and our talented concrete crew was still able to pull off this miracle!
PolyLevel and NexusPro aren't just good for outside driveways and patios, we can level interior slabs as well! This concrete flooring has been sealed with NexusPro, and secured and leveled up by our PolyFoam. The homeowners can now confidently lay down the flooring for their new home without any worry.
ecently in Jackson, MS, we encountered a homeowner who was battling a common but distressing problem: constant moisture under their house, threatening the integrity of their floors. It's a scenario we come across often at Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions, but each case hits home—the safety and comfort of a family hang in the balance. The homeowner reached out to us, rightly worried about the long-term damage moisture could cause to their home. Following our tried-and-true process, our Customer Care team quickly responded, scheduling a home inspection to unfold the issue's depth. Our System Design Specialist took the lead from there: on visiting the home, they conducted a thorough inspection beneath the house. It’s at these moments, cramped in tight spaces and armed with flashlights, that our team shines brightest. Upon diagnosing the moisture challenge, we recommended our CleanSpace solution—an innovative approach to sealing and protecting crawl spaces from moisture. Installation day saw our production team, including a dedicated foreman and skilled installers, turning the plan into reality. With precision and respect for the family's home, we installed CleanSpace, transforming a once damp and threatening crawl space into a dry, safe foundation for the home. Our team's commitment to leaving the site better than we found it meant the family could return to their day-to-day life with hardly any interruption. The outcome? A homeowner relieved from the stress of a potentially deteriorating foundation. The used spaces beneath houses are often out of sight, thus out of mind, but with CleanSpace, the homeowner found peace of mind that their floors—and their home—were protected for the long run.
Crawl Spaces aren't exactly known for being clean, but this one had become a bit messier than most we come across. The homeowner reached out to us hoping we could find a solution for their swelling floors, assuming that moisture must be building up in the crawl space somewhere. A vapor barrier has been installed under the home at one point in an attempt to prevent this, but we found that it has been almost completely pulled up, still leaving the soil exposed. A mix of ground water seepage and falling insulation holding onto this moisture was definitely playing a large part in harming these floors. Since our first look, we have taken care of all of the harmful mess and transformed the space into a much cleaner, drier environment. The ground is once again covered with our durable CleanSpace Liner, along with the walls and supports as well. The now sealed and dehumidified underside of the home no longer needs the insulation, and removing that and the moisture it was filled with, will help these floors greatly. It looks great, and does its job even better!
This picture does a great job of showcasing what we typically run into while inspecting under homes, and the failures of regular crawl space protective methods. The ground has been left exposed, giving ground water seepage the opportunity to cause damage. It looks like there was an attempt to fix this with a standard vapor barrier, but as you can see, it wasn't able to keep its position and has been left severely dirty and torn. The insulation that was being used to regulate the temperature of the floors has all become moist and fallen onto the crawl space floor. The underside of this home was in a sad and dangerous state, but we were able to offer them the real solution. The encapsulation system comes with the durable CleanSpace Liner, that isn't just laid on the ground, but tightly secured against the floor, walls, and supports of the crawl space. Making sure the crawl space is sealed from humid, outside air is an important part of encapsulating, and once our crawl space dehumidifier is added to help regulate the air in the crawl space, insulation is no longer needed. The encapsulation system acts as its own form of insulation! Several other products, such as our drainage matting and sump pump system, help make sure that moisture will not be able to leave any crawl space in a condition like this.
Recently, a homeowner in Jackson, MS, reached out to us at Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions with a potential crisis on their hands. The problem? Their carport was showing worrying signs of wear and tear with visible, unsettling cracks that threatened the structure's integrity and, importantly, the safety of their family. Understanding their concerns, our dedicated customer care team promptly arranged for a home inspection. Our System Design Specialist was soon on-site, examining the crux of the issue in order to deliver a custom solution that would stand the test of time. After a comprehensive assessment, it was evident that NexusPro was the solution we needed to employ. Why NexusPro? Simply because we've seen, firsthand, its exceptional ability to bridge cracks, ensuring they’re sealed, protected, and most importantly, preventing them from evolving into larger, more dangerous problems. Gone were the worries of further damage or compromised safety; in their place, confidence in a durable solution and the support of Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions. Our mission was once again fulfilled - delivering not just a service, but an enduring resolution and a remarkable homeowner experience.
This image showcases what we were able to do for this concerned homeowner in Raymond, MS. Constantly dealing with the effects of crawl space moisture, he reached out to us hoping to find a solution. When our design specialist, Scottie, first went out to take a look at the underside of the home, he discovered that there was an attempt to handle this moisture with an old, standard vapor barrier, but clearly it wasn't enough. After designing a plan for encapsulating the home and discussing it with the homeowners, they were ready to move forward and have our team come in to put it together. Our CleanSpace Liner was secured onto the floors and walls of the crawl space, our crawl space dehumidifier was put in to keep humidity regulated, and our sump pump system was strategically placed to take in water from all sources. All of these can be seen in the image! We're very proud of the work everyone in our company contributed, and happy to know this home is more secure than ever.
Recently in Utica, MS, a homeowner reached out to us at Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions, painfully aware that the old vapor barrier in their crawl space just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Every time it rained, moisture seemed to laugh in the face of their outdated solution, leaving subfloors dripping with wetness. That’s where we stepped in, ready to tackle the problem head-on with our expertise and top-of-the-line products. After the homeowner gave our Customer Care team a call, we quickly got a System Design Specialist out to their home. Following a thorough inspection and diagnosis, we presented our solution: a combination of our SmartJack system to support and stabilize the home, our CleanSpace vapor barrier to lock out moisture, and the SaniDry Sedona to keep the air dry and fresh. Once the homeowner gave us the green light, our production team, consisting of a dedicated foreman and highly skilled installers, got to work. They meticulously installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier, ensuring not an inch was left unprotected. Next came the SaniDry Sedona, set up to control the humidity levels, making the space below as comfortable as the one above. Last but not least, SmartJack system was put into place, promising stability for the home's foundation that would last. By the time we packed up our tools and cleaned up the site, we left behind a visibly transformed crawl space and a homeowner that breathed easier knowing their moisture problem was not just a thing of the past, but a problem tackled with a durable, effective solution. It’s jobs like these that underscore our mission: to provide homeowners with not just a fix, but a long-lasting safeguard for their homes.
These homeowners didn't have any current issues, but they had done their research and knew of just how dangerous crawl space moisture could actually be. They reached out to our company and asked us to send someone out who could take a look at the underside of their home and create a plan to help prevent such issues. One of our expert design specialists, Tristan, got under the home and was able to design an encapsulation just for their home, same day he was out there. The homeowners loved it, and it wasn't long before one of our talented crews were sent out to put it in place. Now the home is fitted with our durable CleanSpace Liner, our sump pump system, and an efficient crawl space dehumidifier. This protects the home from many forms of moisture, including seepage, leaks, humidity and more. We are very happy we were able to help these homeowners out before they had to experience the woes of crawl space moisture damage!
In this image you can catch a glimpse of several of the most important components of our encapsulation system. Each is dedicated to tackling moisture and the problems it causes on the underside of the home in different ways. The first that immediately stands out is our CleanSpace Liner. Instead of just being lain on the floor like a standard moisture barrier, our liner is secured to the floors, walls, and supports of the crawl space. You can see in the photo that no spot has been missed, in each of the highs and lows, and around pipes and duct work, you'll find CleanSpace Liner. Moisture intrusion is completely blocked from reaching the inside. You can also see our crawl space dehumidifier, strategically placed in the best spot in the crawl space for doing its job: regulating humidity. By constantly keeping the now sealed off crawl space at a certain humidity level, we can prevent things such as mold from thriving. Lastly, you can see part of our sump pump system. Ground water, water seepage, and collected moisture from the air are all sent here, and subsequently out and away from the crawl space! The encapsulation system acts as an intense security system for your home against all forms of moisture. The result is a safe and dry crawl space, one that won't affect your floors or foundation!
